I know President Trump openly made fun of a handicap person, but I thought that his followers just overlooked it. However, with the amount of time I see them use “Libtard” to bully the liberal left, it seems they actually condoned it and are partaking.
Normally I like to own what people throw at me. But the use of the word retarded is in reference to people, not a chemistry experiment, and that goes beyond me to others.
Others that I love and care about and I will stand up for.
I remember when I was a kid and we had a good friend who at that time was considered retarded. I also remember her younger brother with his friends shouting horrible names at her which included “retard”. I was just a little kid but I clearly saw those words sting her like alcohol on a paper cut. It was horrible. It breaks my heart to remember this.
For mentally handicap, mental illness, and other mental challenges, and actually just being handicap at all, those days were like the dark ages. The least we could do is simply not use the word retarded in regards to people in any form.
If you feel this is part of the “cancel culture” and people are too sensitive, look inward, and stop being a whinny baby about it. Besides, you know full well you should’t be bullying people.
Here’s the thing, It’s one thing to like someone and agree with their policies and what not, but, it’s another thing to think they are without reproach, and to justify their wrong doing.
As an ex-cult member who did this, I not only have experience, but I humbly admit I was blind to this for quite a long time, and I’m not to high and mighty to admit it. We’re humans and the best way to becoming a better human is to be open to having your short comings pointed out, or even calling them out yourself if you see them, so you can fix them.
When you find your self excusing and justifying a leaders wrong doings, you need to stop and recognize the red flags.

And, OMG! I’m gonna stop a minute to say this. Don’t even bring Obama up in all this. Since many people will have that strong urge, I’ll just get it over with and do it for you. Here goes; Former President Barack Obama and President Donald J Trump are included in this, along with anyone who “leads” people.
I’m not endorsing this product, I just like the name and what they say it does and how well it goes with my last paragraph.
Alrighty then! Back to it.
No more using the portmanteau “libtard”.
No more bullying.
If you feel the urge to use that word, stop, drop, and roll. Or just hide under your desk.
If you feel the urge to insult people, aka bully, STOP! Take a walk or do some deep breathing exercises, or meditation, and what ever your therapist recommended you do to relieve stress and anxiety. Google “baby animals” and scroll through the adorable pictures. If you prefer funny content to relax yourself, just avoid the kind that contains subjects that are about what you were upset about. Cause it could fuel your fire and possibly make matters worse.
It may help to remember, it isn’t your express job to change people. This includes family and relatives. So, like Elsa sings, “Let it go, Let it just F***in go!” (I added the “F” word for emphasis. Elsa doesn’t sing that word. So, don’t get mad at Elsa. K!)
Oh yeah, one more thing.
I’ve said this before, and I’m gonna keep saying it.
Insulting people usually shuts down their ability to take in what you’re trying to express. So, when you find yourself resorting to insults and bullying, just shut it down cause your wasting your time and energy.
If you feel you really need to communicate something, wait till you are calm and the other person is calm before reengaging.
We often say or hear others say with frustration, “It’s So Obvious!” But when most of us are excited or upset, our senses change and what is normally obvious just isn’t any more.
Okay, I’m done for now.
So before I go, let’s say together;
“I will not say or write “libtard” or any word utilizing “retarded” in regards to people unless it’s to tell them not to use it.
I will not bully and insult people. When I’m upset, I will stop, and do what helps calm me down and isn’t harmful. “

Here’s another link of the same content, plus more, that Fox compiled and put together to, I believe, “prove” that President Trump just does those gestures when talking about folks he isn’t too happy with. Some would say it’s still wrong, and maybe it is. While they are correct about him mocking people in that way on a regular basis, according to the clips they provided, his gestures were more pronounced when he was talking about Serge Frank Kovaleski. Regardless, Fox news, in the below video, is justifying Trump, which is exactly what I was talking about. Even though they are a private company and have interest in Trump and show a lot of support for him, they could have said something about how it wasn’t right that he did that instead of going out of their way to justify him and try to make him look like the victim.

Bellow is a link to Matthew Cooke’s video titled Dear Trump Supporters. I really agree with him about how we are being pitted against each other. When people from opposing sides sit down and have a sincere conversation about what they believe and feel is important and so forth, they often find they agree on just about everything. I’ve heard plenty of people in heated arguments spitting angry words at each other and going back and forth, interrupting, and frustrated, all the while they are saying the same thing. This isn’t always the case, but, you may be surprised at how often it is.

On the subject of handicap people and the past, if you haven’t watched Crip Camp on Netflix yet, you really should watch it. It’s very well done. I love that a lot of documentaries now days are no longer doing that annoying sad music depressing content thing that so many documentaries on subjects like this used to do. Sure, there’s some sad content, but for the most part it’s about people finding life in the middle of a virtual desert and then moving on to make a difference for our nation that has surely affected the world as well. So, in other words, you should totally check it out!
